Of course, if you're fine with the taste without it, then don't do this, but if you want that stronger coffee taste, then do this. We have the Bunn pod coffeemaker (incidentally the best because you can use coffees from virtually any maker unlike Keurig where you have to use their proprietary pods), and find the go hazelnuts to be very tasty and the price is very reasonable. It will make a big difference in taste. I actually think the best tasting pods are the Aloha Island, but they are very expensive--but you should consider these for when you have guests over/weekends only. The key with the pods is that if you use a large coffee cup like I do, you need to put the used pod in your cup after you "brew" the coffee, just like a teabag. The other reviews here commenting on price are just ridiculous-they should be removed as they are just indicative of people who don't know how to search pricing apparently. Highly recommend these pods.
The one star isn't for the product, it's for the price. I've been using the Melitta Coffee Javapods for over a year now and I LOVE them. However, I usually buy an 18-ct box for under $5. Where did $15 come from.
This must be a typeo or this is the most expensive pod coffee ever.
Of the tea pods included with the coffeemaker, the Zen in Black is my favorite, though I found the five ounce cup to be too strong, the eight ounce is just right. Before I thought to check Amazon for a One-One coffeemaker, I found one elsewhere but did come to Amazon for the pods. I found the hazelnut pods to be very tasty, not too strong or too weak. I'll make a pitch for the One-One itself, I love mine and use it everyday. After a few operator problems (like not reading the instructions all the way though) everything works as advertised. And it's red.
This is an excellent product. The brewed coffee is as good as the coffee served in any high end coffee shop. The pods are not available is any retail store in my vicinity, but purchasing them through Amazon.com is easy and less expensive than buying them direct from the company since, if you buy 6 boxes at a time, you don't have to pay shipping. A great deal. For a real coffee treat Melitta coffee cannot be beat.
